Expiration dates are the worst. It's the biggest marketing ploy ever! Guess what? The diapers you bought 2 years ago, expired. They use this ploy to make you think something you bought is already expired and you throw it away and buy more. Sad thing is those products still have at another 2 years plus! They want you to buy things and throw away as soon as date is. Spices have a longer run than said, they eventually loose taste after awhile is all. Eggs are still good a week after sell by date. Only worry about fresh meat, produce, and deli, and maybe bread. If chips are still fresh past sell by date, it doesn't hurt you to eat them.

I live in the Silicon Valley, CA, San Jose to be specific. Every grocery store, Target, Costco has some kind of sanitizing wipes available a few steps inside the store. You better believe we wipe the cart thoroughly and aggressively. You never know who used it last, or what baby had diarrhea or vomited in the cart.
