Magnitude 5.four quake strikes Kaikoura
A 5.four magnitude earthquake has struck Kaikoura.
The sturdy quake occurred at 5.10pm and would have produced sturdy shaking, based on New Zealand’s geological hazard monitoring system.
The quake struck 13km deep and was felt as far-off as Rotorua.
GeoNet says the quake was felt by 1260 folks.
Ross James, supervisor of the Fairways at Ocean Ridge Resort, mentioned the quake was “an enormous one”.
