Knicks Waive Mindaugas Kuzminskas, Joakim Noah to Return
The New York Knicks have waived ahead Mindaugas Kuzminskas to make room for the return of Joakim Noah.
Kuzminskas, 28, is within the remaining season of a two-year contract that was absolutely assured for $three million this season.
New York wanted to open a roster spot to make room for Noah, who will return Monday in opposition to the Cleveland Cavaliers from a suspension for using a banned substance. Noah served the ultimate 12 video games of the 20-game suspension this season. It was initially issued in late March.
The Knicks nonetheless owe $three million to Kuzminskas, which is about $700,000 greater than they’d have owed Sessions had they waived him.
Noah might be in uniform on Monday for the primary time since early February. He missed time due to a knee damage in addition to the suspension.
