Janoris Jenkins suspended by New York Giants
Jackrabbit’s wheareabouts had been apparently unknown on Monday
Janoris Jenkins has been suspended indefinitely by the New York Giants for a violation of workforce guidelines. The workforce introduced the suspension this afternoon.
“As a member of this team, there are standards and we have responsibilities and obligations,” stated coach Ben McAdoo. “When we don’t fulfill those obligations, there are consequences. As I have said before, we do not like to handle our team discipline publicly. There are times when it is unavoidable, and this is one of those times.”
Jenkins, cornerback Eli Apple and operating again Paul Perkins weren’t in attendance Monday when the workforce returned to observe after its bye week. Today, McAdoo stated he didn’t hear from Jenkins till Tuesday morning.
“At that point, neither myself nor any of the coaches had heard from Jackrabbit,” McAdoo stated. “I did not speak with him directly until Tuesday morning.”
Jenkins is the second Giants defensive again suspended in latest weeks. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie was suspended for the Week 6 recreation towards the Denver Broncos after what was reportedly a sequence of disagreements with McAdoo, together with one through the Week 5 recreation towards the Los Angeles Chargers.
Jenkins is within the second yr of a five-year, $62.5 million contract.
I’m unsure what to make of this, aside from it’s not possible to see it as something aside from yet one more instance of locker room disrespect for the pinnacle coach. It’s tough at this level to argue that McAdoo has management of the locker room, and that can’t bode properly for his future as head coach.
